# phone-numbers

> Using the phone-numbers endpoint, the developer can buy, delete, list their phone number

## Phone numbers endpoint (Paid plans only)

You can do the following:

* [Search](/reference/rest-api/phone-numbers/list-available) for available phone numbers to purchase
* [Purchase](/reference/rest-api/phone-numbers/buy-number) a phone number
* [Release](/reference/rest-api/phone-numbers/release-number) a purchased phone number
* [List all](/reference/rest-api/phone-numbers/list-purchased) the purchased phone numbers

There is no restriction on the number of phone numbers you can buy, however, a single phone number can send and receive hundreds of simultaneous calls.

Any purchased number can be used for PSTN dialout. However, a phone number can only be either used for [Pinless Dialin](/docs/guides/features/dial-in-dial-out/sip-interconnect-pinless) or [Pin Dialin](/docs/guides/features/dial-in-dial-out/pstn-pin-dialin).
Read more details about SIP and PSTN in our [guide](/docs/guides/features/dial-in-dial-out/index).

## CNAM Registration
